Free Thinker's Club: AI assistant that knows Sol's material better than he does
Every morning before he'd even had coffee, Sol Hyde was in his WhatsApp group typing the same answers he'd already given last week. Students would ask something he'd covered in a YouTube video or a course module, and he'd type it out again. Two hours a day, every day. The answers existed across hundreds of pieces of content. Students just couldn't find them.
The problem
Sol's WhatsApp group was growing. That was the good news. The bad news was it was eating his mornings alive.
The same questions in WhatsApp, every single morning
A student asks "how do I deal with imposter syndrome before my first client call?" Sol had covered this in a YouTube video, a course module, and at least two live calls. But the student didn't know that. So Sol typed it out again. This was happening dozens of times a day. Two hours every morning, just repeating things he'd already said somewhere else.
Hundreds of answers that nobody could find
Sol had YouTube videos, Instagram posts, full course modules, and hours of recorded live calls. The answer to almost every question a student could ask was already out there. But nobody was going to scrub through a 90-minute call recording to find a 3-minute answer. So they'd ask in WhatsApp instead, and Sol would type it again.
Students waiting days for a 30-second answer
A student hits a wall on a Wednesday evening. The next group call is Friday. Sol's asleep or busy. The question sits in WhatsApp for two days. By the time Sol sees it, the student has either figured it out themselves (badly), lost momentum entirely, or moved on to something else. The gap between sessions was where progress went to die.
What we built
An AI assistant that answers like Sol because it's trained on everything Sol has ever said. Deployed straight into the WhatsApp group where students already ask their questions.
Fed it everything Sol has ever recorded
200+ pieces of content. YouTube videos, Instagram posts, course modules, live call transcripts. We indexed Sol's frameworks and the exact language he uses to teach them. When a student asks about handling imposter syndrome, the assistant pulls from the way Sol teaches it, not a generic ChatGPT answer.
Learns from new content without Sol doing anything
When Sol records a new video or finishes a live call, the assistant picks it up automatically. Sol doesn't upload anything, doesn't tag anything, doesn't maintain anything. It's been running for 2 months now and he hasn't touched it once. The assistant just keeps getting smarter on its own.
Answers the way Sol would answer
A student asks "how do I price my first offer?" The assistant doesn't give a generic business answer. It responds with Sol's pricing framework, using his language, referencing the specific principles he teaches. Students can tell it sounds like Sol, not like a robot. That's what makes them actually trust it.
Lives in the same WhatsApp group
We didn't make students download a new app or log into a separate platform. The assistant sits right inside the WhatsApp group where they already ask questions. A student types a question at 11pm on a Tuesday, and the assistant responds in seconds with Sol's actual answer. No waiting. No friction.
Results
- Sol's mornings are free. Two hours a day back, immediately.
- Students get answers at 11pm on a Tuesday, not 3 days later
- 2 months running without Sol touching it once
- Sol spends that time creating new content instead of repeating old content
- The assistant keeps getting better as Sol creates more content
Running on its own. Sol hasn't logged in, maintained, or updated it once. It just works.
"I used to spend two hours a day answering the same questions in my community. Now my students get better answers than I could give off the top of my head because the assistant pulls from everything I've ever recorded. It knows my material better than I do at this point."Sol Hyde, Founder, Free Thinker's Club
